It was a stabbing knife, but now, we can use it as a defensive weapon and thrusting knife.

The Resemblance With A Dagger:
The blade of a stiletto knife is longer than other knives making it appropriate for penetration. The sharper point is responsible for deep and severe injuries. Stilettos are one of the best stabbings and thrusting weapons.

It has a thin and long blade, which makes it a resemblance to a dagger. But, we can't say it is a dagger because there are no right edges.

First Stiletto:
The first-ever stiletto was found in the 15th century, and till then it has a significant value all over the globe.

People also believed that it was a result of dagger inspiration. The earlier versions were with no edges and hammered. The Middle Ages made stilettos popular among other varieties.

Use of Medieval Knights:
Medieval knights and their weapons were getting famous with every passing day. And, they also used a stiletto knife as their secondary weapon, which also makes it more special.

The thinner blade was so advantageous that it could cross even smaller areas which no other weapon or knife can. The Italian assassins also utilize the thin tip for silent killings.

Stiletto is responsible for silent deaths and acute injuries with an easy to conceal feature as well. The long-term wounds and harsh effects lead this knife to be one of the deadliest knives ever.

Great Fighting Weapon:
It was never the main weapon but an incredible fighting weapon, especially in 1563. The First World War also had this knife rising the value of it. As there was only hand to hand combat and no nuclear and distant weapons, stilettos and daggers were the widely used knives at that time.

Because of its effective nature and brutal results, soldiers were benefited with such knives to knock down their enemies. Unlike the First World War, these knives were used as a secondary weapon in the Second World War.

In the 1940s, the advanced version of a stiletto knife was getting fame after the stiletto. The advancement and further variations lead to a perfect switchblade Italian stiletto. And, this feature added more convenience and benefits to the knife.

Earlier versions were only fixed blades whereas; now we can find both as a stiletto. But it is evident that a fixed blade one was more powerful and durable than the switchblade.

Switchblade stilettos are high in terms of convenience as you can carry them wherever you want with ease and comfort.
